How do you price your classes?
Class prices are based on the supplies used and the amount of
hours you are in the studio. Typically, $12-$18 per hour, with
75% of your cost going towards purchasing supplies.
Can I purchase my own supplies?
No, thank you.
How do I register?
You can register online using the "Pay Now" buttons or you can
download a registration form found on the "Register" page of
the website, then mail it with your check to the studio.
When does registration end for a class?
The last day of the month prior to the start of your class. If you
are registering for the month of October, your last day to
register would be September 30.
Can I pay weekly?
No.
What if I miss a class?
If you are absent, you will receive one of the following: a
refund for the missed class minus the cost of supplies OR the
hour will be deducted from your fees for the following month.
Do you cancel for inclement weather?
In extreme cases, yes. This decision is not made until 2 hours
prior to class start. If the area schools are closed it is NOT a
guarantee that I will close. Please check the website or the
studio phone for cancellations.
Can I sit in class with my child?
You are welcome to sit in the waiting areas provided. Parents
are not permitted to sit in the classroom as this makes the
children uncomfortable and prevents them from creating to
the best of their ability.
What type of discounts do you offer?
I offer a sibling discount of 10% off the second(third, fourth, etc.)
child's fees. I also offer a 10% discount to returning students for
the next consecutive month.
Do you give group discounts?
I give group discounts to 15 or more students from the same
group.
What time do I arrive for class?
The studio door is officially open 10 minutes prior to the start of
class. Please respect this. I'm usually setting up supplies, or
organizing things in the supply room and cannot be legally
responsible for your child if you drop them off more than 10
minutes early.
How do I pick my child up when class is over?
Due to the fact that no one obeys the traffic laws on Main Street
(except all of you, of course!), I prefer that you come to the
studio door to collect your child. Please arrive on time. If you
arrive early, please do not loiter in the classroom---we are
cleaning up and cannot walk freely if you are in the way.
Please wait in the waiting area or on the front porch. This is for
everyone's safety and the safety of your clothing.
Why don't you offer more Junior High classes?
These classes are scheduled when there is interest from junior
high students. Children ages 13 and up have very busy
schedules and, typically, can't sign up for the classes I
schedule. To accommodate them, I'm happy to schedule a
class for 4 or more students. Find 4 kids and give me a call.
Why don't you teach classes on the weekends?
During the week I teach at 4 other schools in addition to the
studio and one retirement center. The weekends are my time
to spend with my own children--at least while they still like me!
