Karleen Materne is a 1989 graduate of Bowling Green State
University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree
in Art Education. Karleen is a certified teacher with the State of
Ohio. She spent a combined total of 15 years teaching for
Mad River Local Schools and Sycamore Community Schools.
Karleen is currently teaching elementary art to grades 1-5 at
Five Points West Elementary School. 2011 is her 21st year of
teaching.
Karleen’s artistic area of concentration is painting and
ceramics. She has been selling her art work for 25 years. She
lives in Springboro with her husband, two sons, two cats, and
two dogs.
